NH Lakes Lay Monitoring Program (LLMP) Reports

Listed below on these pages are a few examples of the Wakefield lakes health reports. The examples shown are Great East Lake, Lovell Lake, Pine River Pond. Followed by an example from Milton 3 Ponds, to show what may happen to our valuable assets if not protected NOW. I am attaching the link for the University of New Hampshire Lay Lakes Monitoring Program so you may look up your lake if it is in program. I have shown both 2023 and 2024 reports. You will notice that the previous use of the color RED has been replaced in 2024 with Green. The extension service changed this after input from many volunteers who are involved in the testing. The purpose was to emphasize the effects of cyanobacteria which shows up as the color green when blooming on water bodies. Regardless, the people at all levels involved in this program do great work and we are all thankful to them.

The 2025 Lay Lake Reports will be out soon. If you are interested in helping you can contact the extension service or your nearest lake association.
